KIDS AGES 6-12 HAVING FUN IN GOD'S HOUSE!!!

We have recently completely repainted and changed the Children's Church room and have changed the name to "His House". The Lord gave me this name in accordance with Psalm 92:13 "Their roots will be firm in the HOUSE of the LORD. They will grow stong and healthy in the courtyards of our God."

I loved growing up in church and going to Children’s Church, and my heart is that your kids will feel the same way! In saying that, my goal is to make our class somewhere that kids have fun, participate, and learn about the characters of the Bible. Ulitmately, my goal is to teach them why and how to "dwell in the house of the Lord" all the days of their life!

I am a firm believer that "church kids" should know their Bible storie. Since I took over in 2007, we have been taking the kids on a "Journey Through the Bible", exploring the stories of Moses, Esther, Nehemiah, Jeremiah and many more! The purpose of teaching these stories is first so the kids know about these great people of faith, but secondly to remind the kids that God will work in our lives just like He did in Bible times.

Every summer we pause our "journey" to change things up and focus on a variety of topics. For the summer of 2010, since we have just changed the name, we are teaching on the reasons we come to God's House. Over these next few months the kids will learn how to get to know the Father better, who they are in Christ, how to recognize their enemy, and the importance of telling the world about Jesus.
